EL CAMINO DE SANTIAGO

Ha tomado estado público el estreno de la película "El camino de Santiago", dedicada al caso Maldonado. En rigor, dedicada a perpetuar la mentira más gruesa y más descarada sobre este sujeto, claramente incurso en actividades anarquistas,delictivas y aún satanistas.

Como no podía ser menos, una Kirchner, está detrás de este proyecto de falsificación histórica intencional y evidente. Y una banda de seres vitandos que la secundan, de tanta repelencia que pueden competir con su rostro.

Se han escuchado voces denunciando esta estafa; y no está mal. La primera ley de la historia es no atreverse a mentir;la segunda, no tener miedo de decir la Verdad.

Pero por encima de la legítima defensa de la autenticidad de lo acaecido, la película tiene claramente un título sacrílego y profanatorio. Porque parodia a sabiendas esa antañona y catoliquísima romería hecha por muchedumbres de peregrinos en homenaje devocional al Apóstol Santiago. Procesión de inequívocas resonancias sacras, de reverberancias litúrgicas, y de fulgurantes connotaciones sobrenaturales.

Miradas las cosas con propiedad teológica, la denominación del engendro cinematográfico contiene una clara conculcación del Segundo Mandamiento.

Y una vez más, como tantas, los obispos han callado cobardemente. Ninguno ha salido a cruzar espadas por el honor del gran discípulo de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo, a cuyo solo nombre y mística imagen, España entera se lanzó a la victoriosa Reconquista.

 Ninguno se ha atrevido a convocar a un desagravio público, cuanto pública es la ofensa. Bergoglio acaso, que ya recibió aquiescente a la parentela del delincuente, se haga pasar ahora la película en algún recoveco de su inmerecido sitial romano.

Pero hoy es la fiesta del Apóstol Santiago. Y por los  infames que callan, hablaremos nosotros. Hablaremos para  hacer primero el encomio de esos leales andariegos, que durante fatigosas jornadas, casi griálicas, con su bordón y su viera, van recorriendo espacios y tiempos signados por la gracia. 

No es el de ellos el camino de la ruindad apátrida y atea. Es la travesía del creyente, la singladura del pecador contrito y esperanzado, la senda del oteador de cielos nuevos y tierras nuevas.

Y hablaremos, al fin, en esta Fiesta que supo ser tan hispana como argentina,tan universal como criolla, para pedirle al Apóstol que acepte nuestro desagravio, que nos contagie su brío, que nos instile su entusiasmo, que nos infunda su fervor. Porque la batalla que tenemos por delante es fragosa; y los felones acechan, y los medrosos rondan y los miedosos mandan.

Lancémonos al verdadero Camino de Santiago.  Es demanda, oblación, fatiga. Pero es también, o por lo mismo, victoria de la Fe,coronación de la Esperanza, apoteósis de la Caridad.

Que retumbe la plegaria de José Antonio García de Cortazar y Sagarminaga:

«¡Que voy a entrar en combate,
Señor Santiago el Mayor!
Pon en mi clara Bandera
la aguda Cruz de tu amor.
Dame tus armas ardientes,
híncame tu corazón.
¡Quiero hundirme en el asalto
con tu nombre y con tu voz!
¡Que voy a entrar en combate
Señor Santiago el Mayor!».

Église universelle : Les 50 ans d'Humanæ Vitæ

Après plusieurs années de réflexions et de consultations le pape Paul VI promulguait le 25 juillet 1968 l'encyclique Humanæ Vitæ sur " Le mariage et la régulation des naissances". À rebours de ses conseillers et de la pensée dominante il rappelait qu'il n'est jamais licite, dans l'acte conjugal, de volontairement dissocier union et procréation. Monsieur l'abbé Barthe explicite les raisons de cette condamnation, précise le degré d'autorité de ce document et rappelle les raisons pour lesquelles ce texte fut mal accueilli par une grande partie de l'épiscopat mondial.

Église en France : Immigration et droit des peuples

Délégué général d'ICHTUS, Guillaume de Prémare, présente le numéro d'été de la revue Permanences consacré à Immigration et droit des peuples. L'approche est inhabituelle puisqu'elle ne s'intéresse pas qu'aux droits des personnes mais aussi à ceux des peuples à, par exemple, défendre leur identité. Avec la collaboration de Alexandre Devecchio, Philippe Pichot-Bravard, Jean-Paul Bolufer, etc.

Église en Marche : Restauration de la chapelle Saint Pierre-aux-Liens

Président de l'association mémoire du Futur, Reynald Secher œuvre depuis 1993 à la restauration de la chapelle de Saint Pierre aux-Liens dans la commune de La chapelle-Basse-Mer entièrement détruite par les colonnes infernales lors des guerres de Vendée. Chaque été des équipes de jeunes se relaient, à l'occasion d'un camp-chantier, afin de mener à bien cette restauration.

CitizenGO est une organisation extrémiste pour Soros...



Ceci est une attaque à part entière. Ils craignent l'impact que nous avons.

Apparemment, CitizenGO est un groupe conspirateur d'extrémistes, chrétiens fondamentalistes, qui s'opposent aux droits de l'homme, organisent des réunions clandestines au service d'objectifs obscurs (de toutes sortes, mais surtout religieux).

C'est ridicule, je sais, mais je peux vous dire qu'ils sont inquiets.

Dans un article publié en avril 2018, intitulé «Restaurer l'ordre naturel», le Forum Parlementaire Européen sur la Population et le Développement (FPE) affirme: "La vision des extrémistes religieux est de mobiliser les sociétés européennes contre les droits humains sur la sexualité et la reproduction".

Agenda Europe, comme vous le savez peut-être, est un réseau informel qui fournit une plate-forme pour la coopération des individus, des ONG et des experts qui travaillent sur les questions de la vie, de la famille et de la liberté religieuse.

L'EPF a l'ONU comme allié, avec son Fonds des Nations unies pour la population (UNFPA) et les promoteurs multinationaux de l'avortement tels que la Fédération internationale pour le planning familial (IPPF), l'un de ses principaux donateurs, avec des organisations aussi puissantes que la Fondation Melinda et Bill Gates. Nike Foundation ou Open Society Foundations (OSF), la fondation créée par Soros, avec laquelle le milliardaire veut détruire la famille et la société telle que nous la connaissons. Comme je vous l'ai écrit plus tôt cette année, Soros a récemment investi 32 milliards de dollars dans sa fondation à cette seule fin.

Ils peuvent nous insulter et nous attaquer, mais ils nous prennent au sérieux.

En raison de ce que nous faisons : pétitions en ligne, vidéos, pages Web, médias sociaux, coopération avec d'autres organisations nationales et internationales par lesquelles nous voulons atteindre plus de personnes et avoir plus d'influence, des interviews et des contacts directs avec les organes directeurs et les politiciens.

"Pedofili si nasce", tesi ormai sdoganata dalle accademie

"Così come si nasce omosessuali, si nasce anche pedofili", questa la battaglia del MAPs ("Persone attratte dai minori") che pretende di fare parte del mondo Lgbtq, il quale li rifiuta senza però avere ragioni adeguate che non contraddicano la loro ideologia. Ma ora a vittimizzare i «poveri pedofili esclusi» che «nascono così» sono anche studenti e professori di medicina. Ecco come...

Lo sapevamo, lo avevamo detto, scritto e riscritto ma ora l'equazione è fatta, sebbene ancora troppo scomoda e rifiutata dal mondo Lgbt che ha appena finito di ottenere il consenso mondano dopo 50 anni di battaglie e lavoro mediatico-culturale: "Se la sessualità è uno stato psicologico innato, come afferma il mondo Lgbt, per cui omosessuali, bisessuali o transessuali si nasce e la sessualità non è ordinata dalla natura biologica, allora anche le attrazioni verso i bambini vanno considerate in questo modo. Perciò, così come si nasce omosessuali, bisessuali e transessuali, si nasce anche pedofili. 

Questa la nuova battaglia del movimento MAPs, ossia "Persone attratte dai minori", che pretende di fare parte del mondo Lgbtq pur avendo creato, lo scorso giungo (mese del Gay Pride) una versione diversa della bandiera arcobaleno come proprio simbolo (a sinistra). Si sa che agli albori del movimento omosessualista americano (anni '60/'70), gruppi come la Nambla (l'Associazione del Nord America Amore Uomo/Bambino) facevano tranquillamente parte della cordata arcobaleno. Poi le strategie per ottenere il consenso, cambiate dopo la prima fase e tese a normalizzare gli atti erotici fra persone dello stesso sesso - facendole apparire come normali, prive di lustrini e vittime della violenza e della discriminazione - hanno espulso i pedofili dalla battaglia. 

È chiaro però che la radice teorica dei due movimenti è identica, tanto che quello Lgbt condanna la pedofilia pubblicamente senza riuscire a dare giustificazioni teoriche in merito, se non che "i bambini non si toccano". Ma al di là che ci credano o meno, vista la grande quantità di abusi omosessuali su minori, questa affermazione non basta. Partendo infatti dal loro assunto, "gay si nasce", è impossibile condannare veramente l'affermazione della MAPs. Inoltre, esattamente come cominciarono a fare negli anni '80/'90 gli Lgbt, così stanno facendo i pedofili: si vittimizzano, si dicono persone con vite normali, ma con questi sentimenti verso i bambini, saltando poi il problema del consenso del minore affermando che spesso loro non praticano la pedofilia e che se lo fanno chiedono il permesso alle loro prede.

Ad affermarlo è lo stesso The Prevention Networkche dovrebbe prevenire l'abuso sui bambini, ma che di fatto mette in dubbio la classificazione della pedofilia come un disturbo psichiatrico. Secondo il network bisognerebbe parlare di queste persone come MAPs non per forza pericolose. Favorevole a questo approccio è la professoressa Elizabeth Letourneau della Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (ricordiamo che Frederick S. Berlin, fondatore del National Institute for the Study Prevention and Treatment of Sexual Trauma, fra i promotori della pedofilia come "uno dei tanti orientamenti sessuali", viene dall'ospedale universitario Johns Hopkins) che durante un discorso del 2016 al TEDMED ha raccontato che «quando ho incontrato Adam aveva 19 anni…provava attrazioni per i bambini quindi è diventato depresso e pieno di vergogna…Adam ha creato un suo gruppo di aiuto online…immaginate questi adolescenti depressi, spaventati…possiamo fare molto di più…abbiamo intervistato 30 adulti con attrazioni per bambini ma che non praticano la pedofilia, che hanno raccontato cosa è successo loro quando hanno realizzato di avere queste attrazioni…"mi vedevo morto o in prigione"…"la mia paura era parlarne alle persone, non volevo perdere gli amici o andare in prigione per i miei sentimenti…avevo paura che le persone non avrebbero provato a comprendere le mie attrazioni"…"immagino quale dovrebbe essere la risposta di un genitore a questa scoperta e penso sia: ti amo, questo non cambia la mia opinione di te!"». Sul sito del network c'è anche la storia di John bullizzato dai cristiani perché pedofilo. Un copione già visto che usa dei casi limite e del pietismo per far crollare l'avversione naturale che la gente prova verso le centinaia di migliaia di predatori che si nutrono del business della pedofilia e della pedopornografia, come denunciato da don Di Noto e come rivelano diverse inchieste americane

Sembra un approccio apparentemente buono quello di questi sedicenti difensori dei bambini, dove si cerca di aiutare l'offensore per prevenire l'offesa, ma non siamo ingenui: quello che accadrebbe ad usare un linguaggio buonista sarebbe solo la normalizzazione delle attrazioni verso i piccoli. Perché facendo apparire i carnefici come le vittime del sistema bigotto e chiuso, pian piano si arriverebbe anche a credere che si possa nascere così. E quale sarà il prossimo step se la pedofilia non sarà più vista come un disturbo grave e pericoloso da curare? Certo, ammettere che si possa curare resterebbe un neo per l'ideologia scientifica/universitaria che sostiene che l'orientamento sessuale sia innato e immutabile a prescinedere dal sesso biologico, ma le conseguenze sarebbero devastanti. 

Forse quello che fa stare tranquilli è che nell'immaginario sociale la pedofilia sia ancora ritenuta una perversione inaccettabile, ma il problema che questo movimento intellettuale si sta espandendo più di quanto paia possibile. Solo settimana scorsa è esplosa una grossa polemica che ha visto coinvolta la piattaforma Tedx per aver ospitato e pubblicato online il discorso, poi rimosso, di una studentessa di medicina, Mirjam Heine, dell'università tedesca di Wurtzberg. La ragazza sostiene, coerentemente con quanto sbandierato per anni da tutto il mondo accademico, scientifico e mediatico omosessualista, che «dovremmo accettare che i pedofili sono persone che non hanno scelto la loro sessualità e che, a differenza della maggior parte di noi, non potranno mai viverla liberamente», poverini.

Smettere di dire che la pedofilia non è naturale ma frutto di una ferita, una molestia magari, e che «tutti potremmo essere nati pedofili», non è l'inizio della prevenzione e della liberazione, ma della normalizzazione della pedofila. Non a caso questo è esattamente quello di cui il movimento Lgbt ha convinto il mondo per riuscire a farsi accettare. Anche la vittimizzazione di chi prova attrazioni per i bambini non è la strada per arginare il danno, ma solo la caduta dell'ennesimo paletto della legge naturale, unico argine alla debolezza e perversione umane.

Perciò è pericolosissimo quando si dice che non bisogna stigmatizzare la pedofilia, altrimenti, per esempio, si impedisce loro di «dire ai loro figli che non possono andare in spiaggia perché potrebbero esserci lì bambini in costume da bagno…non possono mai essere completamente sinceri con qualcun altro», come ha chiarito Heine, la cui tesi è stata sostenuta da un suo professore. In poche parole, per la nuova ideologia scientifico-accademica, i pedofili non potranno mai cambiare il proprio orientamento, perciò vanno compresi. Mentre a noi sì che è chiesto di mutare il nostro rifiuto per la pedofilia. Una bella contraddizione, l'ennesima, conseguenza di un movimento che rifiuta il dato oggettivo e naturale, le ferite, le scelte e la libertà e che nega la realtà e il dato biologico come oggettivi.

Per ora il muro del consenso pare ancora saldo, ma non dimentichiamo che al Senato americano si è candidato un pedofilo. Non solo, ricordiamo anche quanto raccontato dal dottor Daniel Amen alla Cbn sul fatto che nella quinta edizione del "Manuale diagnostico e statistico delle malattie mentali" si parlava di pedofilia come «orientamento sessuale», termine poi cancellato dalla American Psychiatric Association. Secondo il medico infatti, questa gente è malata e «ha bisogno di cure». Soprattuto deve sapere che la sua inclinazione è anormale perché se la pedofilia «è difficile da trattare», sempre secondo il parere del medico, è possibile che un pedofilo cambi quando crede che il suo comportamento sia sbagliato e quando veramente lo vuole.

Ma sono appunto discorsi che oggi non si possono fare, pena la messa in discussione di tutto il costrutto su cui si è fondata anche la normalizzazione dell'omosessualità. Perciò sarà sempre più difficile opporsi alla tesi distruttiva che "pedofili si nasce".

Muchas son las modas que el pontificado del Papa Francisco está imponiendo en la Iglesia y algunas tienen ese gustillo tan propio del mundo posmoderno, de ese mundo que busca negar la evidencia, es decir, rebelarse por puro imperio de la voluntad contra la realidad que, en el fondo, no es otra cosa que rebelarse contra el Creador de esa realidad. 
Dicho de otra manera, el Santo Padre quiere que las cosas sean como él quiere que sean, y si no son así, peor para las cosas, porque él continuará imponiéndoles su jesuitica voluntad.  Él quiere que el pasto sea azul y aunque los prados con todas sus hierbas proclamen a viva voz que son verdes porque así los hizo el Creador, peor para las praderas y pastizales: por decreto o breve pontificio serán azules.
Veamos dos ejemplos de los últimos días. El 4 de julio se dio a conocer un documento de la Sede Apostólica titulado Ecclesiae Sponsae Imago, dedicado a regular el noble orden de las vírgenes, vocación de vida de muchas mujeres que permanecen solteras consagrando su virginidad al Señor pero sin pertenecer a ninguna orden religiosa (o prelatura personal). Se trata de una antiquísima institución de la Iglesia que en las últimas décadas cobró nuevo auge. Pues bien, nuestro Beatísimo Padre ha dispuesto, en un borbotón de puro voluntarismo que, para pertenecer al orden de las vírgenes, no hace falta ser virgen: "... se tendrá presente que la llamada a dar testimonio del amor virginal, esponsal y fecundo de la Iglesia a Cristo, no se reduce al signo de la integridad física, y que haber guardado el cuerpo en perfecta continencia o haber vivido ejemplarmente la virtud de la castidad, aunque es de gran importancia en orden al discernimiento, no constituye requisito determinante en ausencia del cual sea imposible admitir a la consagración", dice en el número 88. Es decir, que el pasto es azul.
Posiblemente lo que no esperaba el Santo Padre es que las vírgenes consagradas se le levantaran en armas. Pocos días después de conocido el documento, la Asociación de Vírgenes Consagradas de Estados Unidos sostuvo que se encontraban "profundamente decepcionadas por la negación de que la virginidad integral es el fundamento esencial y natural de la vocación". "Es impactante escuchar de la Madre Iglesia que la virginidad física puede ya no ser considerado un prerrequisito esencial para la consagración a una vida de virginidad".
¿Y cómo no entenderlas? Esta política de inclusividad y misericordiosis propia del pontificado de Bergoglio se choca con los límites que fija la realidad. La situación me recuerda los conflictos que se están ocasionando en deportes como el hockey sobre césped o el boxeo femenino cuando intenta integrar alguno de estos equipos un señor que en un momento dado se autopercibió como mujer. Así como el Estado decide que un hombre que fue constituido como tal por la naturaleza pueda ser considerado mujer, así también el Papa Francisco decide que una mujer que perdió su su virginidad pueda ser considerada virgen. Como bien dice la Cigüeña de la Torre, habrá que recurrir a los servicios de La Celestina que ejercía de remendadora de vírgenes.
La distinción que están reclamando con fuerza las vírgenes consagradas no implica un "acto de discriminación" sino un acto de realidad. Es cosa buena y preciosa que una mujer que no vivió "ejemplarmente la castidad" se convierta. Para eso vino Cristo, para buscar la oveja perdida, y qué mejor ejemplo que el de Santa María Magdalena, igual a los apóstoles. Pero a nadie se le ocurriría incluirla en el orden de las vírgenes, sino que ella es conocida como "penitente". Y de ese modo son conocidas tantas otras santas como Santa Thais de Alejandría o Santa Pelagia de Jerusalén. "Pues nada de discriminar", dice el Santo Padre, "son todas vírgenes porque lo digo yo y así lo decreto y mando".
Pero la tozuda afirmación de que el pasto es azul no se reduce a cuestiones de virginidad sino que el Papa Francisco está redefiniendo el martirio. Ya comentamos en este blog la milagrosa aparición en Argentina de tres mártires desconocidos: Angelelli, Longueville y Murias, que ya están siendo festejados. Y la semana pasada aparecieron dos nuevos mártires: Teresio Olivelli y  Lucien Botovasoa.
La diferencia de estos dos hombres sin duda ejemplares con los "mártires argentinos" es abismal y no vale la pena detenernos en eso. Resulta también claro que eran virtuosos y buenos cristianos pero, ¿eso los convierte en mártires, aun cuando hayan sido asesinados? ¿Entregaron efectivamente su vida "por odio a la fe"? Yo tengo mis dudas. Insisto, la vida de tanto de Teresio como de Lucien fue ejemplar y más la quisiera yo para mi, y seguramente están contemplando el Rostro Divino, pero no termino de ver que  hayan sido muertos por odio a la fe sino, en todo caso, por odio simple y puro a un enemigo del nazismo o a un opositor al régimen inicuo del rey malgache Tsimihoño. Pero todo esto, aunque meritorio, no puede traducirse sin más en odium fidei.
Veamos un caso análogo, el del requeté Antonio Molle Lazo, que muere en manos de los milicianos comunistas durante la Cruzada Nacional española, poco después asistir a misa. Se trata de un joven, como Teresio, que siempre había sido un buen cristiano, como Teresio y Lucien, y que se enrola en uno de los dos bandos de una contienda, como Teresio y Lucien. Pero a diferencia de ellos, fue asesinado claramente y sin duda alguna "por odio a la fe". Sin embargo, Antonio, hasta donde yo se, no es beato y no creo que lo sea, pues para el Santo Padre estaba en el bando equivocado.

In Austria, Official Websites under Cdl. Schonborn Undermining Humanae Vitae

The official website of the Austrian bishops under Cardinal Christoph Schönborn's watch, as well as his own diocesan website, has published a series of articles in light of the 50th anniversary of the promulgation of Pope Paul VI's encyclical Humanae Vitae. These articles present a major undermining of essential Church teachings as they were laid out in Humanae Vitae, even putting into doubt the abiding unlawfulness of contraception.

Cardinal Schönborn is the "media bishop" of the Austrian Bishops' Conference and, as such, officially the editor of Kathpress, the news website of the bishops' conference. He is also responsible, as the archbishop of Vienna, for what his diocesan website publishes.

Kathpress published, on 12 July, a dossier with six articles, most of which undermine an essential part of Humanae Vitae's teaching – namely, that artificial contraception is immoral. (None of the articles presents a strong defense of this encyclical's teaching.)

One of these articles, entitled "Moral Theologian: to Further Develop Humanae Vitae," is a review of a new book on Humanae Vitae and Amoris Laetitia written by the progressive moral theologian Professor Martin Lintner (Brixen, Italy). Lintner proposes to let go of Pope Paul VI's proposal to permit only Natural Family Planning as the acceptable method to engage in marital relations while intending not to have children. John Paul II's attempt to forbid artificial contraception, without exception, was, says Lintner, "not convincing finally." Lintner now insists that the Church "has to take into account the decisions of conscience on the part of the faithful, and to include their reflections as a possible source of moral insight." In his eyes, it is legitimate to wonder whether each marital act really has to be open to the welcoming of children. Marriage as such would still, however, have to be open to life in general. If this interpretation were correct, then, according to Lintner, not every marital act that avoids conception would immediately be the same as a violation of its dignity as an expression of love.

With regard to Pope Paul VI's concern about a coming and pervasive "contraceptive mentality" in the near future – which would also show an increase of abortions – Lintner flatly denies it and says that this claim cannot be proven empirically. He asks whether certain arguments in favor of Natural Family Planning "are sufficient in order to interdict, categorically, the use of artificial contraception."

This troubling article was also published by Cardinal Schönborn's own diocesan website, but notably without any reference to Kathpress as its source.

Another Kathpress article, also published by the Diocese of Vienna, is an interview with Martina Kronthaler, general secretary of  "Aktion Leben" ("Action Life"), an Austrian non-Catholic counseling organization for pregnant women. For her, it is not obvious which method is to be applied in order to "avoid an unwanted pregnancy" (in the words of Kathpress). Natural Family Planning, as it is recommended by Humanae Vitae, is in her eyes not the right method for every woman. "He who wishes to avoid abortions, has to be informed about all different methods of regulation of conception and of contraception," she claims. When wondering what remains of Humanae Vitae, Kronthaler explicitly refers to Pope Francis's Amoris Laetitia (82): "when morally assessing the methods, the dignity of the person has to be respected."

In a third, quite heterodox article publishedby Kathpress, Professor Eberhard Schockenhoff (Freiburg, Germany) is interviewed. He is a moral theologian like Professor Lintner, and both are at the forefront of another moral revolution within the Church. Schockenhoff claims that at least since the pontificate of John Paul II, there is to be found a significant restraint of the Church's Magisterium with regard to the methods of family planning. Benedict XVI and certainly Francis have been much more reticent than their predecessors. "I think one has realized it to be a wrong path" to insist upon Natural Family Planning as the only acceptable method of avoiding conception while still engaging in marital relations.

Schockenhoff also claims that, today, there is much less emphasis placed on the infallibility of magisterial instructions. Francis, for example, has refrained from using "normative precision" as it can be found in Humanae Vitae, and he has limited himself to stressing human dignity with regard to "the regulation of conception" ("Empfängsregulierung"). Moreover, Francis does not make any condemnations, according to this moral theologian. Today, Church leaders are more interested in stressing themes such as conjugal loyalty, respect, and thoughtfulness. This is, in Schockenhoff's eyes, the "real sense" of Humanae Vitae, which is still being upheld by the hierarchy. "A Pope cannot simply correct his predecessor and say that he was in error, but he simply tries not to demand it [certain moral conduct] with the same loudness and sense of obligation," says Schockenhoff.

Another article published only on the website of the Archdiocese of Vienna describes the history of Humanae Vitae and its negative criticism, offered independently by several bishops' conferences, such as the Austrian Bishops' Conference, which, in 1968, issued the "Mariatroster Erklärung" (Declaration of Mariatrost). These declarations proposed to give more freedom to the individual conscience when it comes to choosing methods of birth control. The Mariatrost document also put into question the infallibility of Pope Paul VI's encyclical.

It is noteworthy to see that Cardinal Schönborn himself, in 2008 – then under Pope Benedict's pontificate – made a strong public criticism of that rejection of Humanae Vitae's essential teaching, claiming that it led to a weakening of the engagement for life on the part of the Church. The Austrian cardinal and papal adviser then fittingly spoke of Europe's threefold "no" to its future: rejection of the encyclical Humanae Vitae, the legalization of abortion, and finally the promotion of same-sex partnerships. One should have never said "no" to Humanae Vitae, continued the cardinal.

As can be seen from this recent undermining of Humanae Vitae as published on Austrian ecclesial websites under Schönborn's own watch, the archbishop now seems to have forgotten his own earlier words, or he has now changed his position. This development is even more regrettable inasmuch as Europe is demographically dying, as Gotti Ettore Tedeschi, the former head of the Vatican bank, pointed out at the 21 May Conferenceof the John Paul II Academy for Human Life and the Family (Jahlf) in Rome.

OnePeterFive reached out to the president of the John Paul II Academy for Human Life and the Family, Professor Josef Seifert, who is an Austrian Catholic philosopher, asking him for a comment on the recent articles on Humanae Vitae as here presented. In his response, he speaks about the "shocking disloyalty of the Austrian bishops toward Humanae Vitae" and adds that it is "more than sad to see how the Austrian Bishops' Conference – and also Cardinal Schönborn – react to the 50th anniversary of Humanae Vitae." Seifert explains that "Schönborn, back in 2008, finally after many decades of papal admonishments, declared that the Declaration of Mariatrost, with its attenuated and ambiguous praise of Humanae Vitae which truly was a rejection of it, was a mistake."

Commenting on the recent set of articles as published by kathpress, Seifert says:

Several articles by moral theologians and others on episcopal websites do nothing but attack Humanae Vitae, in spite of hypocritical assurances that it was a prophetical document, etc. They not only put into question the main truth as proclaimed in Humanae Vitaethat each act of contraception is in itself evil, but they also try to support their error with even more generally grave and nearly absurd errors. One of them is being presented by the moral theologian Professor Lintner, who claims that the moral law has to be subject to developments – that is to say, when a majority of the people does not follow it anymore and does not act anymore according to Humanae Vitae.

Seifert continues, asking, "Will adultery become good because so many people break their marriages? Is abortion now becoming good or a less grave sin? Is it not anymore a crime that cries to heaven because millions commit it?"

"Is the law to love God above all not any more valid because a large part of the people break it?"

"Nothing could be more absurd than such historical-ethical relativism. And yet we find this absurd error even on episcopal websites on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Humanae Vitae."

For Professor Seifert:

It is to be hoped that the Austrian bishops finally understand the truth of the words spoken by Cardinal Schönborn in 2008 and then unanimously rescind the wrong Declaration of Mariatrost and speak up clearly for the truth of the teachings of Humanae Vitae and Familiaris Consortio.

Reiterating the Church's moral teaching, he explains that "contraception is for many reasons intrinsically evil," adding that this is the case "not only because the pill has two effects that cause an early abortion and thus is, in a high percentage in its application, murder," but also "because contraception separates the procreative from the unitive meaning of the marital act."

Professor Seifert expresses his indignation over these new articles on Humanae Vitae, saying: "What a shame it is for the Church in Austria to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Humanae Vitae with the help of a swarm of its enemies on episcopal websites!" In order to counter these initiatives, the philosopher, a student of Dietrich von Hildebrand, now proposes that the Austrian bishops, as a sort of reparation,  publish on their websites articles on Humanae Vitae, as well as invite speakers to a conference on Humanae Vitae, all of whom would "defend beautifully this encyclical, and who are now active in pastoral care which explains its fuller teaching to married couples and to betrothed couples in an appealing way." As participants of such a positive initiative, Seifert recommends Professor Helmut Prader (Heiligenkreuz), Bishop Andreas Laun (the retired auxiliary bishop of Salzburg), and Bishop Athanasius Schneider (Astana, Kazakhstan).

We may add that, in light of these trenchant words, as well as his own expertise, Professor Seifert himself should also be invited as a speaker at such a conference.

Bruscamente y sin previo aviso, el padre James E. Larkin, de la parroquia de Nuestra Señora de la Medalla Milagrosa en Clonskeagh, ha sido obligado a abandonar su iglesia para ocuparse de la capellanía de las Hermanas de Loreto en Rathfarnham por su obispo, Diarmuid Martin, tras dar una homilía contra el aborto que molestó a algunos de sus parroquianos, informa Church Militant.

El inesperado traslado es, según fuentes consultadas por la web de información católica, resultado directo de la homilía que pronunció Larkin después del referéndum que el pasado mayo llevó a la derogación de la Octava Enmienda de la Constitución, que protegía expresamente la vida del no nacido.

Larkin recordó a sus feligreses que votar a favor de la matanza legal de niños es un grave pecado que exige el arrepentimiento y la confesión. De hecho, pidió a la congregación que consideraran acercarse al confesionario antes de comulgar si habían votado 'Sí'.

La rapidez y la injusticia percibida del traslado han entristecido a numerosos parroquianos. La parroquia, por su parte, no ha querido comentar la noticia salvo para confirmarla, añadiendo solo que el Padre Larkin era "un sacerdote preconciliar".

El pasado 13 de julio, Larkin dio su última misa en la parroquia, ocasión en la que leyó a sus feligreses la carta en la que Monseñor Martin le ordenaba el traslado con efecto inmediato, prohibiéndole dar más misas públicas o mantener el contacto con sus antiguos feligreses.

En el episcopado se refieren a una simple forma de jubilación, aunque no comentan sobre lo súbito de la orden. Martin ha mantenido un empecinado silencio sobre el hecho de que, en un país en el que una abrumadora mayoría se confiesa aún católica, dos tercios hayan apoyado el derecho de las madres a eliminar a sus hijos no nacidos.

Martin será el anfitrión del Encuentro Mundial de las Familias de este agosto, en el que una de las estrellas invitadas será el jesuita Padre James Martin, famoso por su proximidad a los grupos LGBTI.

Dialogue or Disassociation: What to Do with Heretics in the Church

The watchword of the day is "dialogue." Invoked by Church leaders like an Eastern mystical mantra, dialogue is the solution to every problem. Pro-abortion politicians claiming to be good Catholics? We need dialogue. Priests promoting same-sex relationships? We need dialogue. Millions of Catholics leaving the Church in droves? We need dialogue. No matter the issue, dialogue will make the world sing in perfect harmony.

But dialogue is not always the answer. Sometimes, in fact, the Church has embraced the opposite of dialogue – disassociation – as the proper means to address certain issues. Consider the problem of heretics and public sinners within the Church. What should we do when someone claims to be Catholic (or even is a priest or bishop) and yet acts in a manner fundamentally at odds with the Faith? Should we dialogue with him or disassociate from him?

Cut Off the Part to Save the Body

This is by no means a problem unique to the modern age. The first Christians faced it, too. Their answer was clear: the heretic or public sinner was to be ejected from the Church. They knew that the Church was the Body of Christ, and if one part of the Body was diseased, it was better to cut off that part than to let it infect the entire Body. This is just common sense. If you spend most of your time with people who abuse drugs, it's likely that you will start to use drugs as well. If your close circle of friends are all communists, there's a good chance you'll end up quoting Marx and making red your favorite color. Allowing those who advocate for heresy or publicly promote and commit immorality to continue in good standing in the Church will lead to those evils infecting the whole Body of Christ.

St. John the Apostle specifically warned of the dangers of allowing heretics in the Church. He wrote, "If any one comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into the house or give him any greeting; for he who greets him shares his wicked work" (2 John 10-11). When St. John speaks of someone who "does not bring this doctrine," he is referring to someone who embraces and teaches heresy. His command is to disassociate with the heretic, and in fact, if one does accept him, he "shares his wicked work." In other words, he is as guilty of heresy as the heretic.

St. Paul had even harsher words about the dangers of accepting immorality within the Church. To the Christians in Corinth he wrote:

I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with immoral men; not at all meaning the immoral of this world, or the greedy and robbers, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world. But rather I wrote to you not to associate with any one who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or robber – not even to eat with such a one. For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge? God judges those outside. "Drive out the wicked person from among you." (1 Cor. 5:9-13)

A couple important points to note from this powerful – and politically incorrect – passage. First, St. Paul is speaking specifically of Christians who commit immorality. They are to be ousted from the Church. Also, and more shocking to modern ears, St. Paul says we are supposed to judge those in the Church who sin. So much for today's supra-doctrine of tolerance.

Evangelization and Disassociation

But what of the command of Jesus to evangelize the world? Isn't it the job of the Christian to reach out to the sinner and those in error and bring them to Christ? How can you do that if you never associate with them? Here is the key difference: we are called to evangelize those outside the Church, no matter how far from Christ they made be, but we are called to resist – even expel – those inside the Church who persistently embrace heresy or engage in immorality. St. Paul, the great Christian evangelizer, would go to the ends of the earth to bring the lost sheep into the fold, but he had no patience for allowing a notorious heretic or sinner to infect the Church from within.

We see this attitude in practice in the early Church. In the middle of the 2nd century, a popular preacher named Marcion was teaching heresy. One day, St. Polycarp – a disciple of St. John the Apostle – met Marcion. "Do you know who I am?" Marcion asked. Polycarp replied, "Yes, I know you very well, you firstborn of Satan!" There was no tolerance for heresy from Polycarp, a trait he learned at the feet of St. John himself.

Contrast that attitude with today. Fr. James Martin, the Jesuit priest who has a popular following based on his advocacy of the LGBT lifestyle, has been preaching heresy and encouraging immorality for years now, yet many inside the Church support him. Even many of those who embrace the Church's teaching on homosexuality are hesitant to be too critical of him. Just look at noted Princeton professor and orthodox Catholic Robert George, who takes pains to promote his friendship with Fr. Martin. He defends his friendship as important "dialogue." While George's personal orthodoxy is beyond question and his exaltation of "dialogue" is in keeping with the current higher education ethos, his public acceptance of Fr. Martin appears to go against both St. Paul's and St. John's directives.

Dangers of Disassociation

In today's Church, the charge of "Pharisee" will immediately be applied to those who take the approach I advocate here. To the modern mind, no crime is greater than intolerance of "alternative lifestyles" or unorthodox beliefs. And it's true that there are dangers to avoid when it comes to disassociating with the heretic or notorious sinner. One can easily become self-righteous and see almost everyone as "unclean" and unworthy of association. But what I'm advocating (and what I think both St. John and St. Paul advocated) applies specifically to notorious and public heretics and sinners. It's applicable to Fr. Martin, but not necessarily to your Catholic friend Jim who knows less about Catholicism than the average CNN anchor. It includes Nancy Pelosi, but not Aunt Nancy who was never taught about transubstantiation.

Another danger is a fortress mentality. That term has been overused in recent years to criticize the post-Trent Church, but it is nevertheless a legitimate concern. Every Catholic should always look outward, looking to evangelize. Yes, there are times when one has to protect one's fortress, but the only long-term way to win a war is to go out into the battlefield. Retreating to our fortress is particularly a danger for traditionalists, who in reaction to fifty years of attacks from within the Church can sometimes see every non-traditional Catholic as the enemy, putting up walls to anyone outside the accepted community.

These potential dangers should not make us hesitant to resist evil when it infects our Church. St. John and St. Paul would have been scandalized by the tolerance for evil that we find within the Church today. We need to follow their example and reject evil in our midst, and even reject the evildoers.
